Good morning friend.
I am so grateful to be here with you this lovely Sunday morning and I hope this finds you in good spirits too. Our time with Joe has come to a close and we returned him to his Dad. It’s funny how quickly you get used to a new element, even if it throws the whole world into a bit of chaos, initially. I will certainly miss him being snuggled up to me in bed and taking care of a little, sweetheart like him.
Ellie is pretty happy to have said her goodbyes to Joe; we are back to our regular, long morning walks with her and she has regained 100 percent of our affections again.

Happy to be center of attention and waiting for more treats
Our first morning back to regular programming included this gorgeous view of Catalina Island, which most days is barely, if at all, visible. I especially love the sun breaking through our morning coverage right over the center of the island, casting a mystical scene.

This view reminded me of the connection of Avalon, the magical island of Arthurian Legend, and the bay of the same name on Catalina. The mists of Avalon played an important part for Arthur as they kept the island hidden from view as he healed from mortal wounds within its magical veil; it’s said he is buried there with his love, Guinevere. Ever since I moved to Huntington Beach, Catalina has given me otherworldly vibes. Some days you can see her clearly, like this day, and others she is nowhere to be found.
I just love being reminded of my favorite stories and the mystical in real life. These are the glimmers I long for and look for, especially when our reality can seem so bleak. We are in charge of our focus and perception, so why not make it fun and spectacular?
“Avalon will always be there for all men to find if they can seek the way thither, throughout all the ages past the ages. If they cannot find the way to Avalon, it is a sign, perhaps, that they are not ready."
Wishing you an enchanting week ahead. I’ll meet you back here…
Same time next week.
— Sara
